Did you know Avaya is updating the software support policy for Communication Manager, BCM, and other legacy products? Avaya has stopped using a piece of embedded network management software and will no longer release or distribute new patches for specific versions of these products.

So What Does This Mean?

Sometimes customers ask Avaya and partners to provide backup copies of patches. After May 31, Avaya will no longer be able to support these types of requests for certain products. We encourage customers who are running old releases in production to upgrade and make backup copies of all software now in production, including patches and maintenance releases.

To find out if your system is affected by this change, contact me directly at bfuson@CPI.Solutions or give me a ring  at 317-595-7895.

Avaya and CPI will continue to provide remote technical support of impacted software, but will not directly provide or distribute any of the impacted software. Additionally, Avaya and CPI will offer on a time and material (T&M) basis “Per Incident support to Avaya support customers” for assistance with backups based on the timelines noted above.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
